The unofficial WhatsApp channel operates in a way that WhatsApp itself does not approve of. Starting in March 2026, the policy regarding such connections has become significantly stricter—the risk of being blocked has increased substantially, even when all recommendations are followed. It’s important to understand: WhatsApp does not disclose specific criteria for account suspensions and does not explain the reasons behind them. No service can guarantee that your account will remain active when using an unofficial connection.
We conduct ongoing analysis and testing to help clients reduce the likelihood of being blocked. Here are the key factors to keep in mind.
Age of the number. The longer a number has been registered with WhatsApp, the more stable it is. A new number is the most vulnerable—don’t start using it until at least 24 hours after registration.
Response rate. Aim for at least 30 responses from customers (30%) for every 100 messages sent. If there are no responses at all, the risk of being blocked increases sharply.
Unsubscribe button. Add the following phrase at the end of your message: “Type @ to unsubscribe from our messages.” This allows dissatisfied customers to unsubscribe instead of complaining—and at the same time increases the response rate.
Personalization. Address customers by name—this increases the response rate and makes each message unique, which has a positive effect on the number’s retention rate.
Short messages. Instead of one long message, send several short ones. This feels more like a live conversation and less like an automated mailing.
Detailed recommendations on avoiding blocks can be found in a separate article, and tips on mass messaging are available here.
If you’re facing a temporary restriction, you’ll need to wait until the specified unlock time has passed. However, before attempting to re-authorize, be sure to review our recommendations and follow all the steps listed—otherwise, the number will be blocked again.

If your number is blocked repeatedly, it has likely been flagged as suspicious. In this case, you’ll need to “warm up” the number:
⚠️ After the warm-up period, be sure to clear the outbound queue in the channel settings—otherwise, the number will be blocked again. This step cannot be skipped.
If blocks occur regularly or you want to switch to a more reliable communication channel, we recommend considering the following options:
Telegram — is virtually immune to complete blocks; only short-term restrictions on outgoing messages to new contacts are possible.
WABA (WhatsApp Business API)—WhatsApp’s official channel. Blocking is virtually impossible (except in cases of serious violations of the terms of service). The setup process and payment differ from the unofficial channel, but it offers stable performance.
WABA Coexistence — a simplified version of the WABA connection that allows you to keep your number in the WhatsApp Business app on your phone. A good alternative for those who want to switch to the official channel without changing their usual workflow.
SuperWhatsApp is Message.Help’s proprietary solution, which combines an official connection with significant savings on messaging costs. Most service messages sent as part of an active conversation with a customer are free—only marketing messages are charged.
