What are the advantages of WABA Coexistence?


Using WABA Coexistence provides many features, such as:

  1. Templates will be sent based on Altegio events after setup, more about which is available in this article (WIP);
  2. Templates can be sent manually in the messenger;
  3. In the “Mass Broadcasts” section, you have the ability to launch a broadcast using an approved template.

What does Coexistence (connecting an existing WhatsApp Business number) provide:

  1. You can continue communicating with clients via phone;
  2. Calls within the app are still available;
  3. You can initiate a conversation via phone and then reply through the messenger to save money on sending template messages, thereby bypassing the need for a 24-hour window.

 

How does the integration work exactly?

Some messages sent via WABA Coexistence are paid, some are free. Here's the breakdown:

  1. Any incoming messages from clients are free.
  2. Your reply to client messages within 24 hours is free.
  3. If a client came to WhatsApp via an ad click (through Facebook Ads) - your reply within 72 hours is free.
  4. Any messages sent from the phone are free.

So what is paid?

When you send a template message to a client who hasn't messaged you in the last 24 hours.

Is it possible to display the company name and avatar to clients?
Yes, this is possible.
Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Go to Meta Business Suite: Navigate to Business Manager and open your WhatsApp Business account (WABA).
  2. Go to phone number settings: Select the desired account, go to the “Phone Numbers” section, and click the pencil icon next to your number.
  3. Enter the company name: Type in the desired display name.
  4. Submit for review: After saving, Meta will automatically submit the request for approval.

Can I get a verification badge (checkmark) next to the name?

Yes, you can! But it's more complicated than just getting a display name and avatar.

When applying for the badge, there is an important requirement - “brand recognizability.” To prove recognizability, you'll need to attach examples of your company being mentioned in the media.

  1. Open an account in Facebook Business Manager.
  2. Go to the “WhatsApp Manager” tab.
  3. In the “Overview” tab, specify the phone number that will be displayed to the company's clients in the profile.
  4. Click “Send Request”.
  5. In the field that appears, add 5 links mentioning your organization.
  6. Select the company's language and country.
  7. Submit the request for review.
